Q. January 14 is the day when one flies kites in various parts of the country to observe Makar Sankranti. Would you say there is much kite-flying in A&M&E?

A. I have decided to gloss over the drift in your question. Flying kites is one of the ways to celebrate the core festival ie Makar Sankranti-  signifying the onset of spring. The adage attributed to kite-flying is that one spends time outside in sun to feel healthy. There’s fun also. You must be aware that kites fly against the wind. The A&M&E industry (like many other sectors) has been fighting an unprecedented battle induced by the pandemic and I pray that the ensuing festival usher in spring in the operating environment for all sectors inspite of the various odds that are queering the pitch for unhindered growth and prosperity.
