A. Is the view that the media has a larger responsibility of national good misplaced? Given that it’s just another business…

Q. Responsibility of national good pertains to everyone and every business including media. But the term national good is relative as what is good for one isn’t good for other. So beyond a meta convergence of what is good as a universal definition, I wonder if any business can arrogate to itself the policing responsibility of what is good for society and country. Besides , citizens are intelligent. They can’t be opinionated with an agenda. It tantamounts to doubting the intelligence of the citizens. So while every media would play its respective roles, you can be rest assured that the masses can look after themselves and they don’t require a guardian to act as an ombudsman.
