Q. It’s Holi tomorrow. And since you a colourful person (my reference is only to your sartorial preferences). So what’s your favourite colour and why? Don’t tell me it’s saffron, the colour of our republic rulers (the BJP, we mean)?

A. Your question on my preference of colour is coloured by your coloured prism, as in the case of every individual. Every colour signifies a philosophy beyond the colour chosen by the players of a polity. Colours are also associated with a brand’s philosophy. I have no philosophical foundation to my preference of colours. I love all the colours of a rainbow. At a personal level, I love white and sky blue. You may like to retrofit it to any philosophy. At a meta level, I love colour as it lifts the mood and represents the tapestry of life in its many hues, irrespective of rulers or ruled. Any such association stymies the unbounded possibility of colour.
